BUP is proud to announce the publication of the book "Socio-Economic Determinants of Income Inequality in Europe" by Asst. Prof. Kristina Velichkovska. 

The book “Socio-Economic Determinants of Income Inequality in Europe” by Kristina Velichkovska analyzes income inequality in Europe from 2007 to 2021, covering periods of economic crises. This book explores the complex, multifaceted drivers - like globalization, unemployment, governance, and education - impacting income inequality. Using a comprehensive model, it assesses determinants and the Kuznets hypothesis, offering insights for tailored policy responses to inequality during crises.

Kristina Velichkovska is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, International Balkan University, Skopje. She holds a PhD in Economics and is a graduated economist with a master's degree in Business Administration. Her areas of interest are macroeconomics, income inequality, and corporate finance. She has authored and co-authored several scientific papers in the field of economics and organizational sciences and is the author of the book "Socio-Economic Determinants of Income Inequality in Europe" published by Balkan University Press.
