Open Call for Chapter Proposals
We are pleased to announce a call for chapter proposals for an upcoming edited book titled "What Really Works in the English Classroom." This book seeks to provide a comprehensive exploration of effective teaching practices, innovative strategies, and successful methodologies in English language education.
The aim of this edited volume is to bring together contributions from educators, researchers, and practitioners who are passionate about improving teaching and learning in the English classroom. We invite chapters that showcase evidence-based practices, share insightful case studies, and offer practical recommendations for educators at all levels.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
· Pedagogical techniques that have proven successful in teaching English language.
· Incorporating literature, media, and other cultural aspects into the English curriculum.
· Strategies for fostering creativity and critical thinking in English education.
· Effective use of technology to enhance language learning and literacy development.
· Differentiated instruction and personalized learning in the English classroom.
· Culturally responsive teaching practices for diverse student populations.
· Assessment methods that accurately measure student growth and achievement in English.
· Addressing the needs of English language learners and students with special needs.
· Professional development initiatives for English educators to continuously improve their practice.
· Collaborative and interdisciplinary approaches to teaching English language arts.
Submission Guidelines:
Interested authors should submit a chapter proposal (approximately 300-500 words) outlining the purpose, scope, and key points of their proposed chapter.
Please NOTE: each contribution should contain a text (reflecting the theoretical aspects of the proposed topic) AND an actual activity or task accompanying it, showing the practice of what the author claims is working in the classroom.
Proposals should be accompanied by a brief author bio highlighting relevant experience and expertise.

Important Dates:
Proposal Submission Deadline: June 20th, 2024.
Notification of Acceptance: July 10th, 2024.
Full Chapter Submission Deadline: September 15th, 2024.
Publication Date: end of 2024.
