The book is a contribution to the enrichment of the scientific thought about national history of the Republic of North Macedonia in the period of 18th and 19th centuries, when it was under Ottoman rule, because so far in the available scientific and other types of literature, especially in the Republic of Macedonia, there are no available data on the development of cities in the mentioned period. Macedonia, as an integral part of the Ottoman Empire, and a central country in the Balkan region, has always been attractive, mostly due to the multi-ethnic and multi-religious structure of the population, and it has always been one of the areas attractive for potential destabilization.The book is of particular interest to the scientific and professional public who deals with issues related to the national history of тhe Republic of North Macedonia, especially for the period of Ottoman rule, which had a great influence on the creation and development of today's cities. The book is a great contribution to the increase of professional literature on the national history of the Republic of Macedonia in the period between the 18th and 19th centuries.
